ಓ ನನ್ನ ಚೇತನಾ! ಕುವೆಂಪು

ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರು ನಿಧನರಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿಗೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆ ಕುವೆಂಪುವನ್ನೇ ಸೃಜಿಸಿದ ಬೃಹತ್ತು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ರಾಶಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿಗೂ, ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಜನಮಾನಸದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಸಾರಭೂತದಂತೆ ರೂಪಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಸಂದೇಶ. ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜನ ಮರೆತರೂ ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಲ್ಲ; ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಸಂದೇಶವೊಂದನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಸ್ವತಃ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಹ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಸಂದೇಶದ ಭಾಗವಾದ "ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವಗೀತೆ - ಅನಿಕೇತನ" ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಾ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಆ ಚೇತನಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ನಮನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸೋಣ.

ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನಗೀತೆ - ಅನಿಕೇತನ

ಓ ನನ್ನ ಚೇತನ,

ಆಗು ನೀ ಅನಿಕೇತನ!

ರೂಪರೂಪಗಳನು ದಾಟಿ,

ನಾಮಕೋಟಿಗಳನು ಮೀಟಿ,

ಎದೆಯ ಬಿರಿಯೆ ಭಾವದೀಟಿ,

ಓ ನನ್ನ ಚೇತನ,

ಆಗು ನೀ ಅನಿಕೇತನ!

ನೂರು ಮತದ ಹೊಟ್ಟ ತೂರಿ,

ಎಲ್ಲ ತತ್ತ್ವದೆಲ್ಲೆ ಮೀರಿ,

ನಿರ್ದಿಗ೦ತವಾಗಿ ಏರಿ,

ಓ ನನ್ನ ಚೇತನ,

ಆಗು ನೀ ಅನಿಕೇತನ!

ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಲ್ಲದಿರು;

ಮನೆಯನೆ೦ದೂ ಕಟ್ಟದಿರು;

ಕೊನೆಯನೆ೦ದೂ ಮುಟ್ಟದಿರು;

ಓ ಅನ೦ತವಾಗಿರು!

ಓ ನನ್ನ ಚೇತನ,

ಆಗು ನೀ ಅನಿಕೇತನ!

ಅನ೦ತ ತಾನ್ ಅನ೦ತವಾಗಿ

ಆಗುತಿಹನೆ ನಿತ್ಯಯೋಗಿ;

Turn unhorizoned where Truth leads,

There can be no end to your play

Endless the quest you apprehend.

You’ll grow infinite and ascend
